We are so excited to announce that Madelyn came home first thing Wednesday morning!! We are so happy to have her home! She is seriously an angel baby. She never ever cries and is on such a fabulous schedule. She wakes up 10 minutes before she is supposed to eat and then goes right back to sleep!
Tuesday night we roomed in with her at the hospital. We pretty much did everything by ourselves and could call a nurse if we had any questions. Everything went really well except for the "hard as a rock" pullout couch we slept on. We were so excited for the morning though. Up until now, Eva has not been able to meet her siblings because she was too young. Heck, she didnt even know she had siblings!
So Wednesday morning, before Madelyn got discharged, Grammy and Riah brought Eva to the hospital to meet Madelyn. It was so amazing to introduce them for the very first time! Eva did so well and just adores her little sister so much! She always wants to kiss her and hold her. She is extremely protective. This morning I had to take Madelyn to a follow-up doctors appt. and Eva screamed and cried for her baby when we left.
Madelyn's pediatrician said she looks perfect and she has already gained a whopping 5 ounces since discharge! She has been hi-sating and though she got sent home on oxygen, she really doesnt even need it. The doctor told us to reduce the amount she was getting. She is really thriving here at home!
Parker is now on full feeds and got his Gavage tubes pulled out today. He is going to get his inguinal hernia surgery (very common) done on Thursday and he will most likely be coming home next weekend! He is one heck of an eater! That boy loves loves loves to nurse and cries at the nurses to bring him more food after his feedings are complete!
Dahlia is now on Canula!!! Yay! She also hit 7 pounds today. She is doing very good and is now getting 1-2 bottle/breast feeds daily. If she finishes her next bottle the doc will increase her feeds to 2-3/day.
Preston is also doing very well. He too is on canula and his settings are actually lower than the others. He is now getting 4 bottle/breast feeds per day and is finishing all of them. He is a very good feeder and paces himself very well. He is now weighing 6lb 8oz. He too will need the hernia surgery prior to discharge. He is most likely about 2 weeks from coming home!

Love love love the pics! So glad to hear that Madelyn is home and adjusting very well. How cute that Ms. Eva is so protective.
SO AMAZING!!! Isn't it the best feeling introducing the older sister to her siblings!! And the clothes, the car seat, the hat.... I could go on and on and on and on... SO FREAKING CUTE!!!! Something new I do with Hannah Noelle is every Friday or Saturday night after the babies are down I let her dress herself, let her pick out my clothes and we got on a date! It's only to Waffle House and to the Chevron for snacks but it has become an amazing time for the two of us!! I am sooooo happy that your family is getting closer and closer to being all together! Go King Quads go!!! (And the hernia surgery is eezy peezy! Lauren had it done and never missed a lick! I was a nervous wreck of course! And the scars are hardly noticeable now!!) PLEASE let the Quad Sista's know if you need anything!!!
Tears of Joys for you! I'm just so happy. Then end of the Nicu road is near! One by one and it will be so nice to get them home one at a time to get you used to a schedule gradually. They are so healthy and I just loved the pictures! Ava is going to be a fantastic sister and she will do amazing and be such a great big girl for you both to help with the babies! Huge Hugs! YAY! You are on your way to being all together! Congratulations!
Please pray for this young Christian mother struggling with a painful and difficult decision for her unborn daughter. She could use prayers to help lift her up during this difficult time. thanks.

YAY! Can't wait to see all 4 of them home!!!!
What an answer to prayers! We are so excited that Madelyn is home, and the other babies are right behind her! You will have to let me know how that hernia surgery goes. Nolan has a herniated belly button from his lines, and our doctor would like to do surgery before he is three, but it seems kind of scary to put your little one under anesthesia, so I just keep pushing it back! Love you guys and can't wait to see the precious babies!
That is so wonderful. It is amazing to see these babies thriving. What angels. We all can't wait to finally meet them.
Oh, what joy!! Congratulations!
How is Parker doing after surgery? I have been off a couple days and I have been thinking of him. babynurse818@yahoo.com
